The young prodigy of the famous Kirov ballet, Rudolf Nureyev was in Paris in June 1961 to perform at the Opéra. Fascinated by the wild Parisian nights and the artistic and cultural life of the capital, he befriended Clara Saint, a young woman who had been introduced to the upper classes. But the KGB men in charge of keeping an eye on him do not take kindly to his ‘Western’ acquaintances and call him to order. Faced with a terrible dilemma, Nureyev had to make an irrevocable choice that would change his life forever. But it will also make him part of history.
